Awas Yojana in Gariyaband
So far, the ‘housing for all by 2022’ scheme which is officially known as the PMAY (Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana) which is launched by the current NDA government led by Mr. Modi in 2015 has highly welcomed by the peoples wherever it gets implemented. For the past one year, the scheme was successfully implemented in many states all across the state. In order to achieve the status of making India as the home of all its citizens, the scheme was launched by the honorable PM of India.

Having bold vision, the scheme is about to complete its first phase in next couple of months. As a reminder, the scheme was initially launched with the three phases where each of them has separate target and deadline. The net deadline of this mission of providing houses for all poor people under this scheme is 7 years from it gets launched, that it by 2022 the scheme’s mission should be completed.
Approximately, about 2 crore houses are expected to be constructed under this PMAY all across the country. Last year, the scheme experienced lots of positive welcome among the local people on which it got implemented. Recently, the scheme was implemented in the small town of Gariyaband of Chhattisgarh, where the poor people who lives in kachha houses and who don’t own any house under the name would be eligible to get affordable hosues under this scheme.
PM Awas Yojana in Gariyaband
As per the data released from the government officials it known as the government is set to construct around 6L affordable houses for the poor people who are living across the Chhattisgarh state. Below listed are the key points of the implementation of the PMAY scheme in Gariyaband a small town from the state Chhattisgarh.
- The state government of Chhattisgarh recently announced that more than 1.5 Lakh houses are to be constructed in the town of Gariyaband under this newly introduced “housing scheme of all” in the state.
- The beneficiaries who are about to get these newly constructing affordable houses will be selected depending upon their annual income, literally only the people who are from the BPL (Below Poverty Line) who owns no houses.
- Apart from providing financial help to the eligible people in the town, the government will provide extra cash of Rs. 12,000 for the owners for the purpose of constructing new toilets for their houses.
- It is announced that there will be around 10,624 affordable houses are to be constructed across the town at various places with the intention of offering those to the poor people under this PMAY scheme in Gariyaband.
