Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Dhar Zila
Ever since our PM introduced his ambitious scheme Awas Yojana, the implementation process of this housing for all scheme carried in full fledged and it’s getting near the deadline of its first phases.
For living, food and water along with shelter are the basic amenities for living. India ranks second in population across the world. But one out of every four in the country is living in BPL. With such a huge population in India, poor are in very large scale. Among the BPL, people from SC/ST form a major share. In general, these people from BPL do not get their own basic amenities.
With a vision to provide housing to more than two crore people, this scheme was started in 2015. Within 2022, it tries to provide housing to people from various sectors of the society especially the EWS and LIG people. Women as well as people from SC/ST can be a beneficiary of this scheme.
- Interest rates will be reduced for the beneficiaries for the loans availed for building houses under this scheme. In addition to that, they will also get a subsidy from the government ranging up to a maximum ceiling of two and half lakhs which will be directly deposited in to their bank accounts.
- Houses are built using materials which are eco-friendly. A small fraction of the subsidy is given especially for building toilet facilities. Women applicants from all the sectors of the society can avail the benefits of this program. This scheme offers support to build houses having a maximum area of 30 meters. All the houses should be built according to the norms of NBC and BIS.
- Under PMAY people from almost four thousand cities will get benefitted across the nation. Tamil Nadu has more cities selected under this scheme. Whereas UT’s such as A&N, DD have only one city selected.
PMAY Dhar Zila
Around three hundred and eighty cities are selected in MP for PMAY. Dhar is among the selected list in MP. More than two hundred beneficiaries are selected by the state under this scheme in Dhar Zila. The beneficiaries will get the loan amount for house construction on an installment basis.
Each beneficiary will be provided a unique ID. The work carried out by the beneficiary will be checked by the government through their respective ID’s. The Photo of the area under construction will be uploaded from the ID of the beneficiary. After Scrutiny, loan installment will be sanctioned to the beneficiary. The maximum installment amount will be thirty thousand. The beneficiary can receive the loan amount in five such installments following the same procedure.
