Pradhan Mantri Sochalay Yojana aka PMSY is a major part of the scheme Adarsh Gram Yojana by the then Prime Minister Shree Manmohan Singh. The scheme aims to provide more than 600 toilets across the nation. There are wide ranges of area where still people don’t have proper sanitization. Especially women and children have to use open toilets which are neither safe nor hygienic. According to the scheme people from rural and remote rural areas will get the benefit of proper locked sanitization in their areas.

Pradhan Mantri Sochalay Yojana Form

Anyone can apply for the Sochalay Yojana for their specific areas. The authorities like Panchayed or District officers can directly apply for the scheme. Once the application form is been processed, the team will be appointed to supervise the building and other related work of the toilets. Construction, water supply, proper channelization of the garbage and such activities should be supervised by the department.

Local panchayet or district offices have concerning officers who help people to fill up the form for this yojana. Online forms are available as well. The entire registration process will be available in the district offices.

Government Contribution

The government of India has taken this initiative to provide proper and hygienic toilets to all the people who don’t have such provision near their houses. They have already started working on the scheme and as said the scheme is a part of the Adarsh Gram Yojana, many of the toilets have already built in different areas.
