Free Laptop Scheme Yojana in UP
After the fantastically successful mission of free laptops and Tablet scheme, Akhilesh Yadav government is all set to start a new scheme called Free Mobile Handset Scheme in UP. In a recent event Akhilesh announced that the use of mobile phones and telephonic communication is growing largely, so looking at this requirement of mobile phones the Samajwadi Party will be starting off a new scheme by 2017 poll election under which the students will get free mobile handsets like they have got free laptops back in 2012.
Free Laptop & Tablet Scheme
The scheme was started before 2012 poll election when Samajhwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav promised to provide free laptops to the students of class X and XII. As promised the party had covered a large portion of the state’s students of mentioned class and distributed free laptops.
- The scheme was considered to be one of the best initiatives towards development of educational system in Uttar Pradesh.
- In 2011-12 more than 1.5 million laptops and tablets were being distributed to the students of good grades across the state. The budget allotted for the scheme was Rs. 2800 Cr. Unfortunately after 2012 there were no budgetary provision was given to the project. But the scheme wasn’t inactive during those years.
- After a point of time the manufacturers and the IT companies denied to support the scheme as under this price it wasn’t possible for them to provide devices or apps.
Free Mobile Handset Scheme | Samajwadi Free Smartphone Yojana in UP
In a recent event when a leading telecommunication provider Vodafone was launching 4G connections in East circle of the state Uttar Pradesh, Yadav stated that along with Laptops they should have distributed free mobile handsets as well. The reason behind it is pretty clear. We all know that today more than PC, laptops or tablets, mobile phones do the needful for any user. Telephonic communication has gone up to sky-high level these days.
The CM, UP has clearly hinted that by 2017 poll election this sort of scheme under which people, especially students of higher class, should receive mobile handsets for better communication and self-development. Though he didn’t confirm anything but he had hinted that the scheme will launch soon in Uttar Pradesh.
